Overview

Intense pulsed light delivers filtered, broad-spectrum light rather than a single laser wavelength. Selected wavelengths are absorbed by target pigments, producing thermal effects according to the application and settings.
Premium Light offers:
• HR/SHR handpiece: For hair-removal applications.
• Optional multifunction handpiece: for skin rejuvenation, pigmentation, vascular, and acne applications.
• Classical mode: Software-controlled pulse configuration for the selected function.
• SHR mode: Repeated light delivery for hair-reduction protocols.
• Five-level contact cooling: Adjustable cooling at the treatment interface.
Available applications depend on the installed handpiece, patient suitability, and the device’s authorized indications.

Key Ingredients
Benefits

Hair removal applications
• Progressive reduction in unwanted pigmented hair.
• Potentially less frequent shaving as treatment progresses.
• Application options for suitable facial and body areas.
With the compatible multifunction handpiece:
• More even-looking tone: Improvement in the appearance of selected benign pigmented spots.
• Reduced appearance of selected superficial vessels: Following appropriate clinical assessment.
• Refreshed skin appearance: Improvement in selected signs of photodamage and fine lines.
• AC program for acne-focused treatment protocols. This light-based application is intended to help reduce inflammatory acne lesions in appropriately selected patients, subject to the device’s authorized indications.
Suitability, settings, and treatment intervals require individual clinical assessment and device-specific training. The supplied protocols exclude Fitzpatrick skin types V–VI.
Results vary. Multiple sessions and maintenance may be required.

Directions

1. Complete consultation, screening, informed consent, and treatment-area documentation.
2. Inspect the handpiece spot, connections, cooling-water level, and device status.
3. Confirm the installed handpiece matches the intended application. Switch off and disconnect power before changing handpieces.
4. Establish a controlled treatment area. Provide patient and operator eye protection rated for the emitted IPL spectrum.
5. Cleanse and prepare the skin. For hair reduction, shave the area according to the verified protocol.
6. Apply compatible conductive gel where required by device-specific training.
7. Select the appropriate function, mode, cooling level, and validated settings.
8. Perform the required test application and allow an appropriate observation period.
9. Follow the verified contact, movement, and pulse-placement technique. Monitor skin response and patient comfort.
10. Stop emission for excessive heat, significant pain, unexpected skin changes, or equipment alarms.
11. Complete skin assessment, document the session, and provide individualized aftercare.
Do not operate through a cooling-water alarm or with a damaged treatment spot. Treatment settings and intervals depend on the application, skin characteristics, and response.

Warnings

IPL can cause burns, blistering, pigmentation changes, scarring, and eye injury. Contact cooling and protective eyewear do not replace correct patient selection and operation.
Contraindications involve:
• Pregnancy.
• Open wounds.
• Skin cancer or precancerous lesions.
• Photosensitivity disorders.
• Active skin infection.
• A tendency to abnormal scarring.
• Diabetes or other serious chronic conditions.
• Severe hypertension or heart disease.
• Recent photosensitizing medication.
• Anticipated significant sun exposure after treatment.
Not recommended for patients younger than 18.
Do not flash over eyes, tattoos, permanent makeup, or unidentified pigmented lesions. Recent tanning, sunburn, or irritated skin requires reassessment before treatment.
Never look directly into an emitting handpiece. Stop for unexpected pain or skin injury, and arrange medical assessment when needed.
Patients should not stop or adjust prescribed medication without consulting their prescriber.

Professional Use

For professionals whose licenses and applicable regulations permit IPL procedures, with device-specific training and supervision where required.
Assess skin type, tanning history, hair characteristics, medications, photosensitivity, previous procedures, and contraindications before treatment.
Pigmented or vascular lesions require appropriate assessment before light-based treatment. Do not treat unidentified or suspicious lesions.
Individualize handpiece selection, fluence, pulse delivery, cooling, and treatment intervals through professional assessment and training within verified operating limits.
