Professional Electrical Muscle Stimulation System

EMS Russian Currents is a professional electrical stimulation system with six independently controlled output channels. Combining low-frequency stimulation and medium-frequency modulated Russian currents, it offers eight selectable programs and dedicated facial and body electrodes for appropriately assessed applications.

Overview

Electrical muscle stimulation delivers electrical impulses through surface electrodes to activate muscle contractions.
EMS Russian Currents offers two current categories:
• Low-frequency stimulation: Three selectable programs.
• Medium-frequency modulated Russian currents: Five selectable programs using a listed 2,500 Hz carrier frequency.
Individual channel controls allow the professional to adjust output separately for each connected electrode pair. Treatment selection requires professional assessment, device-specific training, and operation within licensed scope of practice.

Key Ingredients
Benefits

Subject to confirmation of this device’s authorized indications, proposed benefits include:
• Muscle activation: Electrically induced contractions in appropriately selected muscle groups.
• Muscle conditioning: Support for professional programs focused on muscle performance.
• Temporary muscle toning and firming: Support for improved muscle tone where indicated.
Results depend on client suitability, electrode placement, settings, and treatment consistency.
EMS does not replace exercise.

Directions

1. Inspect the unit, cables, connectors, and electrodes before use.
2. Screen the client and identify suitable muscle groups and prohibited placement areas.
3. Clean and prepare the skin. Apply the compatible electrode conductive gel required by the electrode type.
4. With output switched off and intensity controls at zero, connect and position the electrodes according to a verified placement protocol.
5. Select the appropriate program, and session time.
6. Increase each active channel gradually to a comfortable level. Stimulation should not cause pain.
7. Monitor muscle response, skin contact, and client comfort throughout the session.
8. Stop for burning, pain, dizziness, palpitations, or unexpected muscle reactions.
9. Reduce every channel to zero and stop output before adjusting or removing electrodes.
10. Inspect the skin, provide aftercare, and clean the accessories.
Intensity, contraction/rest cycles, session duration, and treatment intervals require individual professional assessment within verified operating limits.

Warnings

Do not use U-CAV on clients with pacemakers, implanted defibrillators, or other implanted electronic devices.
Do not perform treatment in the presence of:
• Pregnancy.
• Active bleeding or thrombosis.
• Active infection or acute inflammation in the treatment area.
• Tumors or suspected malignant lesions in the treatment area.
• Recent fractures in the treatment area.

Do not apply cavitation above the shoulders. Treatment of the head and neck is prohibited. Avoid application over the eyes, chest, or an area containing an intrauterine device.
Clients with cardiac conditions, epilepsy, impaired sensation, recent surgery, or compromised skin require assessment to determine whether treatment is appropriate.
Possible adverse effects include skin irritation, discomfort, burns, and bruising. Stop treatment if pain, excessive heat, or an unexpected reaction occurs.
If the unit includes an electrical-stimulation function, never position electrodes across the chest, over the front or sides of the neck, over the eyes, or in a configuration that sends current through the head. Turn off the current before moving or removing electrodes.
Patients should not stop or adjust prescribed medication without consulting their prescriber.

Professional Use

For appropriately licensed professionals with education and device-specific training in electrical stimulation, anatomy, electrode placement, and client screening.
Assess medical history, muscle condition, skin integrity, sensation, implants, and contraindications before each session.
Facial electrodes require specific training and a verified facial application protocol. Their inclusion does not establish suitability for every facial area.
Pain management, circulatory conditions, edema, or rehabilitation require appropriate medical qualifications.
