RADIOFREQUENCY is a technique that gradually warms the skin, acting mainly on existing collagen fibers, strengthening them and producing new collagen and elastin in order to reduce the appearance of fine lines and to reaffirm the tissues through the reorganization of the fibrous septum and dermal thickening. The heat also improves blood circulation, increasing the oxygen supply to the tissues and evacuating fluids and toxins for natural disposal, improving the appearance and rejuvenating the skin.
The immediate effect is skin retraction; however, the goal is to gradually achieve deep collagen remodeling, in order to form new fibers to replace the aged ones and make more elastic tissues, favoring homeostasis and generally improving skin appearance by removing from it the traces of the passage of time.

Tripolar Radiofrequency allows energy to be focused by the electric field that flows between the three poles of the handpiece, therefore the tissues are heated three times more and the heat is greatest at the target area with minimal energy loss.
The length of the treatment varies depending on the area being treated. Small areas like the arms are usually completed within 15 to 20 minutes, while larger areas like hips and legs can last 30 to 45 minutes.
1.What is rf?
RF is an electromagnetic energy with a wavelength THAT heats the dermis and subcutaneous tissues in a controlled manner without AFFECTING the epidermis. The immediate effect of this heat is to cause the dermal collagen to contract, OFFERING a skin tightening effect. There is also a slower progressive effect, where the heat stimulates collagen production, giving a plumper, AND rejuvenated appearance of the skin.
The heat also improves the circulation of the blood increasing the supply of oxygen to the tissues and the natural evacuation of liquids and toxins, improving the appearance and rejuvenation of the skin.
2.Which are the benefits of rf treatment?
A course of radio frequency (rf) treatments will help to lift, firm and tighten skin. Rf stimulates the skin’s own ability to produce collagen and elastin, minimize facial expression lines, reduces cellulite, improves blood circulation, improves lymphatic drainage
3.How many sessions are needed?
The number of sessions required depends on the condition of the skin and the expectations of every patient, regularly it will be necessary between 4 to 6 sessions for face and 6 to 10 sessions for body. The procedure is well tolerated and does not require anesthesia or down time. The patient will feel the sensation of heat that can last 2 to 4 hours after the session, the skin glows and will show erythema for 1–2 hours.
4. Which areas of the body can be treated?
The radio frequency can be performed on calfs, arms, thighs, upper and lower area of the buttocks, abdomen, back, hips, face and neck.
5. What happens after each treatment?
Once the session has ended, apply aloe gel in the treated areas. The patient can return to daily activities immediately, avoiding exposure to the sun and uv rays for 48 hours. It is important to drink water after the session to hydrate the skin and help toxins evacuation process.
