During EMS, impulses are transmitted through electrodes on the skin for stimulation. These impulses cause involuntary contractions of the muscles strengthening and defining the muscles.
Professional device, versatile, with 12 electrodes, digital, easy to use. Integrates the latest technology to develop programs that let you stimulate facial and body muscles.
Programmable Timer from 15 to 40 minutes, 12 Silicone-carbon electrodes.
Russian Currents are medium frequency currents that work isometrically over the muscles, reaffirming the muscle tissues, reducing localized fat, accelerating metabolism and promoting lymphatic drainage.

1. WHAT IS EMS OR RUSSIAN CURRENTS?
EMS or Electrical Muscle stimulation is the stimulation of the muscle contraction through electric impulses generated by a device. It is a therapy in which maximal electrical stimulation of nearly all motor units in a muscle contract, something that cannot be obtained in the voluntary contraction. This produces greater muscle contraction and hence produces hypertrophy.
2. HOW DOES EMS RUSSIAN CURRENTS WORK?
The device generate electric impulses that are delivered through electrodes placed near the muscles being stimulated. The impulses mimic the action potential that comes from the central nervous system, causing the muscles to contract, which strengthens the muscles and promote lifting.
3. HOW MANY SESSIONS ARE NECCESARY?
The recommended protocol for EMS RUSSIAN CURRENTS is 2-3 sessions per week, each session from 20-40 min.
4. Which AREAS CAN BE TREATED?
All areas of the body, abdomen, legs, arms, back, buttocks, pectorals and facial area.
5. WHAT COULD YOU ACHIEVE WITH THIS TREATMENT?
At the end of the treatment, the patient will see an improvement in muscle mass toning, and lifting of the buttocks or pectoral areas and also muscle definition.
6. ARE THERE ANY CONTRAINDICATIONS?
As with any other equipment technique, this therapy is not suitable for people presenting:
- Cardiac pacemakers and Arrhythmias
- Hemorrhagic condition
- Thrombosis and thrombophlebitis (inflammation of wall of vein)
- Tendon lesion or repaired condition
- Unconscious patient
- Recent radiotherapy
- Carotid sinus
- Infected wound and skin lesion
